I should like to have officers to consider the matter and send me a copy of the terms, so that I might re-consider the matter and send in notice of my refusal.
I should therefore deem it a favour if you would kindly forward me a copy & supply me with the several terms.
I do not know whether you have seen the offer, so that I may deal with the matter before I return home. I find from a Hong Kong paper lately received that the "it" change component is occupying the attention of the Government, and that the proposal contained in L.1.C. No. 94 of 3th Nov. 1893 are requested, and officers requested to signify their acceptance or refusal thereof. As I could not possibly accept the offered terms, being about to proceed home on leave,
